In the era of digital devices, I can't imagine how you did it. Wow, that's wonderful.

I have mine read every morning during breakfast before school. It was a challenge for a little bit but now they automatically come downstairs, grab their book, and eat while they read a chapter. Once they’ve finished their chapter, if there’s any time left before they go upstairs to brush their teeth, they can have device time.
