In my humble opinion, "the short form" content has also hit blogging (in our case, Medium)

When we see everyday changing trends from long to short form, our attention span is also changed and now our mind don't accept to read longer content. It looks for quick to the point stuff.

That's why people write short (fast), read (digest) short, and share short content.
