I am overweight too, but my body type can easily get into the rhythm whenever I start walking. I can easily walk 10,000 steps a day, but again, being consistent is the issue, so I started giving myself punishment for the last few days.

I punish myself to walk 5000 steps more next day; if anyday I miss the mark of 10,000 steps.
